Is 'Ultimate Tazer Ball' The Most Ludicrous Sport Of All Time?

Think 'Ultimate Tazer Ball' is a pretty silly name for a sport? Just wait till you you see it in action.

Based on an idea from Leif Kellenberger, this extreme sport involves eight players, a 24-inch ball, a 200 x 85 foot rectangular playing field and eight tasers. That's right, tasers.

If you take a look at their website, utblive.com, there's an extensive and detailed explanation of the rules, but the main thing is this: you can only tase people if you're holding the ball and in the special 'shock zone'.

Otherwise, it's a simple game of get-the-massive-ball-in-the-other-team's-goal - it just has that little bit of extra-added danger thanks to the chance of being attacked with an electroshock weapon.

World Record Biggest Wave Ever Surfed 90ft

We had no idea Portugal's coast got such big waves, but would you believe it, it does. 90-foot ones, waves bigger than your house, your neighbor's bigger house, and things that are 89 feet -- that big. It's all thanks to the massive underwater gorge called "Nazaré Canyon" that creates unusual giant waves.

Hawaii-born Garrett McNamara describes himself as a "Extreme Waterman Explorer & Big Wave Champion" on his website, but by us, he's the luckiest surfer alive, happening upon the record-breaking wave while out tow-in surfing with Andrew Cotton and Al Mennie during the surfing gathering known as the "ON North Canyon Project 2011".

"I feel so blessed and honored to have been invited to explore this canyon and its special town. The waves here are such a mystery", Garrett said afterwards. Um, okay Garrett, right you are. Still, nice job!

Base jumpers scare us half to death
