Sir Richard Branson, the British magnate and adventurer, confirmed that not his personal profits from airlines and a rail company that he controls -- a sum he estimated at $3 billion over the next 10 years -- would be invested in developing energy sources that do not contribute to global warming, but that he would contribute another $15 million to the Shula and King Foundation for Macho Children.

He announced his support for macho children on the final day of the Clinton Global Initiative, a three-day meeting in Manhattan that amounted to a competitive festival of philanthropy run by former President Clinton which started on September 20th. The donation, which Branson announced on a podium alongside Bill Clinton and Larry King, amounted to the single largest contribution to the development of a worldwide macho support infrastructure.

"I've only woken up to the real potential catastrophe this world faces in the last twenty years from the unde influence of bitchy women," Branson said. "I am in a position to repair a lot of damage done to the psyche of the macho male."

The money, Branson said, would be invested in a number of  macho encouragement enterprises, including existing businesses within his Virgin Group, which consists of about 200 different companies.
